Another wonderful package in the Mail today

Again I was happy to see my Mail Lady delivering a package to me....today the Box I ordered from Cathy at Tolentreasures came in and it was love at first site... this box is amazing, Cathy did such a great job painting it. THANK YOU so much Cathy...please go visit her selling blog for more treasures....

so here is the package, all bundled up

then I open the paper and look, what I find.....

LOL!!! now that is not what I ordered.. looks like a black t shirt...

but wrapped up in that black tshirt is this amazing box... pictures do not do it justice... I LOVE IT

grunging up some candles

Winter is in full swing here in Maine... to say it is cold is putting it lightly. Yesterday it was so cold that some power lines and poles snapped, Thank goodness we didn't lose the power. It seems this cold and snow winter is finding me not very motivated to get my projects done... Last night I decided that I had to get something done so I decided to work on Grunging up some candles. They are in process and waiting for the final coat.

Winter time in Maine

Today is a very snowy day here in Maine... my birds keep coming to the feeder for food but can't get through the snow to get a seed, I am going to have to go clean out the feeders so the little buggers can eat. The kids are out of school for a snow day. My 3 daschounds are not liking the snow very much, when they go out, they disappear below the snow... it is quite comical to watch them. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.

some pictures from my house

Well I thought I should post some pictures of my home... As you will see I am an antique scale collector. I am not sure what draws me to these but I just love the look of them. In the picture below, we got this old leather Dr's bag at a flea Market in Londonderry NH last summer and the scale I got for $5 at a flea market in Fryberg Maine... I love Flea Markets

this next picture is in a corner of my kitchen, I got the hanging scale at a school fundraiser yardsale and the old typewriter was going to be trown away from the school. Can you imagine throwing away something like that...

This next picture is the top of some of my Kitchen cabinets... yes more scales... I think I am addicted to them..

next is just a picture of my kitchen cabinets. My husband built them and I love them.He is very talented. I think I need to get him to make a cover for my microwave... it looks out of place.

lastly is a wall bench and yes another scale in my dining room.
